OUR STORY
I started The Makers Nook UK after my own creative wellbeing journey, where I experienced first-hand how powerful creativity can be for mental health, especially when it’s shared with others. Too often, creativity can feel inaccessible or intimidating, so I wanted to build something different: a friendly, flexible space where everyone feels welcome to explore, create, and connect.
Today, that looks like community craft sessions, free and low-cost events, creative workshops, and collaborations with organisations who care about wellbeing and connection. We also aim to support creativity at home through our online community and creative resources, and this is only the beginning...

Accessibility
At The Makers Nook we believe having a creative outlet can do so much for our mental health + well being as well as bringing people together to help tackle social isolation so using our services as a way for people to express their creativity it's important for us to make them as accessible as possible to give everyone the opportunity to benefit from getting creative.
Community
Community is at the heart of what we do. We aim to create a safe creative space online and in person where anyone can come to find some creative joy. Which is why we aim to provide services that are accessible and fun but that are also developed on ideas and interests of the community for the community.
Health & Wellbeing
Our business is built on the impact being creative can have on our mental health and well-being and the power it can have in bringing people together. Our founders have personally experienced the benefits and we feel it's so important to promote that in what we do and the services we offer to give others the opportunity to benefit from the power of creativity too.
